Goodbye Hollywood, Hello San Marino.

An insider guide to our new neighborhood, Mission St., San Marino, CA.
In February this year, we waved a fond farewell to our first ever L Fire boutique in Hollywood, and moved our MISS L FIRE home to 2571 Mission Street, San Marino.
For anyone not familiar with San Marino, it’s a beautiful historic town, located less than 10 minutes from Pasadena, CA. Our store is in ‘Mission Village’ an idyllic, tree-lined enclave, full of gorgeous independent shops and eateries.
The long-established Julienne’s is a local favorite. Open for breakfast & lunch with an amazing shop and deli attached, this is a wonderful place to meet friends, hold a working brunch and generally start your day off right.

Once fortified at Julienne’s, give yourself a good couple of hours (yes, the parking is free), to browse the amazing boutiques which line both sides of the street. We love ALL the stores on the street, but if we HAVE to choose some favorites, well, here goes…..

Packed full of California-chic labels, this is the kind of store you dream of getting locked inside. Just smelling the wonderfully perfumed air in there makes you feel instantly better.
Aside from the gorgeous clothing and luxurious homewares, there’s also dazzlingly beautiful jewelry, perfectly curated by store owner Corina Madilian, who also owns jewelry store Single Stone, https://www.shopsinglestone.com, further along the street.
Our fave for great quality wardrobe essentials. Owner Michelle Round has perfected the art of always looking effortlessly cool. Whatever you buy there, you’re good. Totally guaranteed that you’ll look great. Michelle also carries beautiful gifts so if you are looking for something for a friend, go take a look – and bag yourself a treat at the same time.
Yes, we know that this is a national chain, but come on, their current poster-girl is Emmylou Harris! What’s not to like about that? Plus, the owner lives in San Marino, so we like to think this store is extra special.
Around since the late 80’s, Johnny Was is famous for its luxury boho looks. Super detailed, colorful, and just gasp-worthy beautiful, plus only two doors away from Miss L Fire, so it would be rude not to take a look.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our virtual-guide to our new LA home. More to come on the surrounding area soon…stay tuned!
